Winter Day: John W. Carlson mini show

Here are a few of John's most popular paintings and drawings.
As with all of John's work, the piece becomes what the viewer sees... The deliberate lack of contextual clues allows one to "fill in the blanks" creating a sort of performance art combining the vision of John W. Carlson and his audience.

...just thinking

How many of you, like us, have sent out endless invites to local media and never gotten any sort of response?

Wouldn't it be nice if the local media supported the art community in Cleveland by providing a critic with credentials that would actually attend local openings. This community is struggling and hungry for publicity. The recent coverage of the theft at True Art by the Plain Dealer is proof that there is an interest for art news. Many shows previously held at True Art and other Cleveland area galleries, have begged for the attention this negative event has received. A good critic could generate buzz (good or bad) with weekly reviews.
